This is our latest installment for Fash Boy Summer: Where There’s Smoke, There’s Firearms.
We’ve decided to take advantage of the lull between attention grabbing mass shootings to talk about some problems with how we describe what a mass shooting even is. Along the way, we talk about the reactionary history of efforts to control access to firearms in the US. Spoiler: we usually only enact new gun legislation when either a president has been shot or when politicians what to keep guns out of the hands of Black people.
